So I was thinking it would be cool to have a module that adds medium or low hard points by sacrificing a high or a medium hard point. Dont need so many guns but want something that doesnt fit a high plug in an adaptor.. Right?
Example
Be cool if T1 gives you 1 hard point and a T2 gives you 2, but only up to the maximum 8, Or maybe only can use one high power adaptor and 1 medium adaptor at a time, Clarification, can use hi and low at same time but never 2 of each... CCP be better at figuring out a ballance somewhere.
Also its a long shot, but if this idea is original enough and you end up using it or a variation of it be nice to find a gift of a high-medium and medium-low T2 Bpo in my base hanger sometime, lol... Like I said a long shot..

I really dont see that this cant be a possible module. Can put restrictions on what can be plugged into the added hardpoint. And I dont see how it would cause an imbalance as anyone with the proper skills can use it.

If you sacrifice a high slot your giving up a lot really. And with restrictions on what can be plugged into the adaptor would help balance it. And the fact that you can only use one of each type at a time. T2 can Add 2 spare slots but maybe disable an extra slot so you give up 2 to add 2.
Imagine a frigate lets take the triston, has 4 high, turret hard points are crap trade them for 2 more mids and then trade 1 mid for an extra low. Adaptors cant plug into a added slot and then the restrictions limit what you can putt in the added mids.
so you have 2x high, 5 mid(1 is used by low adaptor and 2 have restrictions), then you have 4 low 1 having restrictions. Would be a very nice custom ship with many uses. Might even increase its survivability.
Also you can add the restriction that a hardpoint adaptor can not be used on T2 ships, only T1 and Faction. |
